Rajeev Yasarla is a 2020 research intern in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft. Rajeev’s research interests include deep-learning-based image restoration (such as de-raining, deblurring, and removal of atmospheric turbulence distortion), object detection, and medical image segmentation.

He is a Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Vishal Patel in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Johns Hopkins University.  Before studying at Hopkins, he graduated from IIT Madras with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering.

His free-time hobbies include playing badminton, listening to music, and cooking.
