    The Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager Provider needs to be installed by the user on the Virtual Machine Manager server in order to connect to the Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager Service.

    The Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager provider is now Generally Available. Download and install this provider version to enable the VMM server to communicate to the Azure service to
    • Enable Replication between the VMs on the primary site to the secondary site.
    • Seamlessly failover virtual machines from the primary site to the recovery site in the event of a disaster.
    • Make use of Recovery Plans and other features of the Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager service.

  • Supported Operating Systems

    Windows Server 2012 R2

    The following are the system requirements for the provider to be installed:
    System Center 2012 R2 Virtual Machine Manager along with Windows Server 2012 R2 installed on primary and secondary hosts or Windows Server 2012 installed on primary and secondary hosts.
    Or
    System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 CU3 or above needs to be installed along with Windows Server 2012 with latest updates.

    Please refer to prerequisites and support matrix for Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager Service to ensure that all the pre-requisites for Hyper-V Recovery Manager environment are met.
  • Download the Windows Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager Provider setup on the host with a supported version of System Center Virtual Machine Manager installed and run it.
