Team Foundation Server 2013 Process Template Samples - Support for Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

The Scaled Agile Framework, or SAFe, is gaining popularity among organizations looking to scale Agile practices to the enterprise level. SAFe is a comprehensive framework, covering practices from portfolio level planning to release planning to coding practices. While TFS does not provide full support for all SAFe practices, TFS can be used to implement many of the planning practices. This download includes the 2013.3 process templates with the changes already applied. The process templates in this download should be treated as code samples. They are not an official release and do not come with support, implied or otherwise.

Supported Operating Systems

Team Foundation Server 2013 and above.

After downloading and extracting the zip file, you should have three zip files. One for each process template:

• Microsoft Visual Studio Scrum 2013.3 - Scaled Agile Framework Enabled.zip
• MSF for Agile Software Development 2013.3 - Scaled Agile Framework Enabled.zip
• MSF for CMMI Process Improvement 2013.3 - Scaled Agile Framework Enabled.zip

From Visual Studio 2013 Client, open the Team Explorer tool window and select Settings, then select Process Template Manager. From the Process Template Manager window, select Upload, and browse to one of the files listed above to upload the process template.
