- To start the download, click the Download button and then do one of the following, or select another language from Change Language and then click Change.
- Click Run to start the file extraction immediately.

- Open a command prompt to the directory where you extracted files from the download package.
- 3. At the command prompt type mpsyschk.exe to run the Update Compatibility Assessment Tool. The tool will return one of the following two responses:
- MPSystemStateCheck: PASS
If you receive a PASS result, it means that your computer has no compatibility issues with security update 977165. - MPSystemStateCheck: FAIL
If you receive a FAIL result, it means that security update 977165 cannot be installed because of a problem on your computer.
