Malware in the Bartallex family can download and run files on your PC. They are usually malicious macros that run when you open an infected Microsoft Office file.
We have these threats embedded in Microsoft Word files attached to spam emails.
Use the following free Microsoft software to detect and remove this threat:
- Microsoft Defender Antivirus for Windows 10 and Windows 8.1, or Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows 7 and Windows Vista
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
