PAAC is full of opportunities to gain new skills, access exclusive training, unlock mentorship opportunities, and have a chance to win great prizes. Along the way, you'll be exposed to the use cases, community and career opportunities for Power Platform. You'll complete your missions individually, but you'll be able to chat with other players, ask questions, share knowledge, and communicate with expert "coaches."
The game's daily "missions" follow the technical learning path for the PL-100 Power Platform App Maker certification. Besides this valuable opportunity to get certified, participation in the PAAC game means you can also win prizes, notoriety, and enrich your career prospects.

There are three steps to participate in Power Apps Africa Challenge
In order to play the Power Apps Africa Challenge, you need to be on the journey of growing your skills do take the PL-100 Microsoft Power Platform App Maker certification. If you still need to build your skills, join others who are preparing for the challenge in this two week Power Apps Africa Prep (12th September to 26th September 2022). Otherwise, if you already have the skills, you can start at step 2.

Follow this link to join the the Power Apps Africa User groupBack to parent level tabsPAAC begins on 7th November, and those who have qualified will receive an invitation to the game. You will start with 14 days of missions. Every day you will be challenged with a task with a duration of 15-90 minutes per day. You will complete these missions on your own time thorough an online platform. Successfully completing missions will give you opportunities to earn points to spend at the game store. Store prizes include career coaching with a high-profile individual, training opportunities or entrance in the prize drawings of the game.
The Power Apps Africa Challenge culminates in a 1-week finals, where ONLY the top 100 players will be invited to demonstrate their skills by building an app. These elite will compete for the top three grand prizes and the recognition as Africa’s best app builders! The apps will be judged by a panel of experts, and winners selected and announced on 2nd December.

What does it mean that I have been put on the waitlist?
You can still learn Power Platform and win great prizes during the challenge by joining the Power Apps Africa Community. You will also be notified if places open in the challenge. If so, you may join the challenge a bit late, but you will have the ability to catch up and complete missions to still win the challenge. -
Role: PAAC is open to anyone and is especially suited for students, early in career, career switchers, start-ups, citizen developers within an organization, and pro developers.
Employees of Microsoft or Microsoft Partners who are Power Platform/Business application implementors, consultants are not eligible to participate in the Game as players, but are invited to join the game as coaches (see the link)

Location: Participants must live on the continent of Africa.
Language: The game will be conducted in English
Age: Any
Resources needed: To complete the hands-on learning component, the player needs internet access via mobile phone (browser or app) or on another device.
