Jay Meistrich prototypes new hardware and software in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft to improve human-computer interaction.

Before joining the Microsoft, he was an intern at Electronic Arts, Inc., where he wrote much of the Wii Remote (“Wiimote”) code for the game “Boom Blox” and also worked closely on the Havok Physics engine.

Jay holds a B.S. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.  While at Carnegie Mellon, he worked with the Game Creation Society and created five video games, beginning with a 2-D side scroller and then moving up to 3-D action games, for which he designed advanced graphics and physics.

In his free time, he likes designing and playing video games, pursuing photography, and enjoying recreational Frisbee.
