Kyrollos Yanny
Research Intern (2020)
Kyrollos Yanny is a 2020 research intern in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).
He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Laura Waller’s Lab at U.C. Berkeley where he works on single-shot 3D computational microscopy. Specifically, his work involves combining convex optimization, machine learning, and optical principles to design 3D single-shot miniature microscopes.
Outside the lab, he enjoys soccer, baking, video games, and playing music.
