Okan Köpüklü

Okan Köpüklü is a researcher in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).  His research interests lie in computer vision, audio and audiovisual signal processing, pattern recognition, deep learning, and their applications.  He is passionate about doing application-oriented research to integrate state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms into modern devices.

Before joining ASG, he worked on his Ph.D. project between 2017-2021 at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).  Before that, he received his M.Sc. degree also from TUM, and his B.Sc. degree from Bogazici University in Turkey.  He was a research intern in ASG in 2021.

Outside of his professional activities, he takes pleasure in doing oil painting, pencil drawing, and sketching.  He also loves running, swimming and cycling.
