Bill Buxton's Notes

The major change in this generation of the TrackPoint Mouse was changing the nipple-type tip of the TrackPoint for a kind of indented rocker. The fingers are not good at exerting lateral forces, but they are good at downward force. By going out to the edge of the rocker and pushing down, one applied a force in that direction by using leverage. Much better ergonomics.
