Bill Buxton's Notes

In the "everything is best for something and worst for something else" department, the same thing that made the iMac round mouse a failure made this one a success—at least in its particular niche. This mouse was designed to go around, since it was intended to be used as a mobile scrub wheel: You can point at a music, film, or animation track, click to attach the mouse, and then scrub it back and forth. It is useful for editing temporal media; less useful for word processing.
