The Skedoodle is my favourite classic foil vis-à-vis the Etch-a-Sketch. Which is the best for drawing? Besides working that question through, this is also a very good example of the power of layering constraints on a system to enable it to assume attributes that it would not have had otherwise. Try drawing a square with the joystick without using the template.
