This is the device that really changed the hand-held PDA market. While the minimal functionality and clear purpose were important to its success, other devices also had those attributes. What is neglected is recognition of the importance of HotSync, which was the key differentiator. HotSync enables you to copy your contents in less than a minute by pushing one button. By using the same technique, you can get up and running quickly by copying your address book and calendar from your computer to the device, rather than by hand entering everything.
