This device is a toy electric drum set. I got it in 1981 when I was consulting for Mattel. What I liked about this set is that it demonstrated that one could make a soft, organic-feeling transducer that was sensitive to human capability, and do toy strength at a toy budget. A good reminder. Without appropriate references, we tend to set the bar far too low.
