In his keynote, Robert Seiter will discuss holistic trends on climate topics in the process industry, e. g. their ambition to comply with the Paris agreement, expectations of stakeholders for enterprises (customers, citizens etc.), regulations in various countries. Discover how climate goals and respective measures can be linked to financial targets and the role of technology in achieving those ambitions and supporting essential developments in the future. Robert Seiter will also share insights from his more than 20 years’ experience in clean technology, renewable energies and infrastructure, especially with regard to best-in-class companies and how they are dealing with the sustainability challenge. |

Customer Best Practice: Energy Management with Evonik

The Digital Energy Management System DEnMS supports the specialty chemicals company Evonik in achieving their sustainability goals. With a standardized and state-of-the-art IT architecture, based on IoT and Microsoft Azure cloud, the company created interfaces between the variety of measurement devices (sensors, thermal detectors, electric meters, flow-meters, etc.) as well as various process information networks and process control systems with the Internet of Things. The goal: Turn metrics and data from the measurement devices into actionable insights, via capturing, validating, analyzing and evaluating, visualizing and using the delivered information. In doing so, Evonik benefits from clear KPIs for each unit and is able execute on smart goals. |
