MONTI 3.2 Configuration Guide

Microsoft Online Notes Inspector (MONTI) was designed to assist customers in collecting specific data in regards to their Lotus Notes Domino mailbox storage data set. MONTI was developed as a Lotus Notes application to allow customers to collect this data leveraging their current messaging expertise and skill sets. Additionally, all the underlying code in MONTI is exposed and can be reviewed by the customer’s current Domino Administration/Development team to ensure they fully understand MONTI.

MONTI collects the following information

• Domino directory information on each user
• Total mailbox size excluding database whitespace
• Total calendar items size
• Total contact items size
• Total group items size
• Optional mail item size (number of days specified by customer)

MONTI Requirements

• User account requirements
• Reader access to the Domino Directory
• The ability to create replicas on the Domino servers
• The ability to issue remote console commands to the Domino servers
• Signed by Notes ID requirements
• Reader access to all user mailboxes to be examined
• Lotus Notes and Domino support requirements
• MONTI was developed to run on Lotus Notes / Domino 6.x or later

Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista
