The Doctor and Jo visit the Master in his island prison and during their visit hear tales of ships disappearing nearby. The Doctor becomes curious and investigates, discovering that the Sea Devils, aquatic relatives of the Silurians, have awoken from their slumbers and, with help the Master, are out to reclaim the planet Earth from mankind.
