Season Five of Z Nation finds Warren and Our Heroes at the birth of a nation when they finally reach Newmerica -- just in time to help save it from a new, post-Black Rain zombie threat: Talkers. The mixed-up-modified Black Rain has one main side effect, instead of melting zombies for a reset, it has restored the consciousness of the undead, particularly any zombie who died post-Black Rain. We'll meet a charismatic young military leader, a 25-year-old woman, "George." A hero, like a modern George Washington, who is famous for saving dozens of people from a zombie horde by forming an alliance with the Talkers - who now want to be part of this new nation.
