As Eddie and Miranda drive through a remote area, they unwittingly cross paths with a disturbed sociopath, Wade whose sole mission is to sow chaos. Wade fixates on Eddie, leaving Miranda momentarily free to escape, but he quickly turns his relentless focus on her. Wade proves to be an ever-present threat, staying one step ahead and relentlessly pursuing anyone who dares to aid her.
