The celebrated 1906 scandal of Stanford White, a playboy architect, Harry K. thaw, a spoiled erratic millionaire, and Evelyn Nesbit, the beautiful showgirl they were both in love with. Thaw marries her but makes her life miserable with his insane jealousy which eventually leads to a murder at Madison Square Garden.
