Simplifying construction contracts
L&T construction faced challenges in efficiently extracting accurate insights from their rapidly growing structured and unstructured internal data assets. Manually reviewing extensive documentation such as complex contracts to identify important clauses was tedious for contract teams.
L&T Cognitive services leveraged natural language processing (NLP) and Generative AI based on Azure OpenAI to solve these challenges.
Automated analysis of project documents
Project teams were struggling to contextualise and combine insightsfrom disjointed processes and data sources, resulting in fragmented and delayed analytics. There was a pressing need for automated mechanisms to rapidly analyse convoluted construction project documents, identify and extract key information, and synthesize crossfunctional intelligence. However, development of such capabilities was hampered by the variety of data formats and domains.
L&T Cognitive Services leveraged NLP and Generative AI based on Azure OpenAI to seamlessly extract key information from documents and data. Azure OpenAI identified crucial clauses in contracts, pulled out technical deliverable details from emails and reports, and contextualized insights from across projects. By combining extracted insights from AI-powered review of growing construction data assets, teams get rapid, accurate and holistic understanding without manual effort.
