The Garage has its physical presence in Bengaluru and Hyderabad in India, with our offerings expanded to various locations leveraging the digital platform. It is truly a “room to dream” to discover, learn, collaborate, and create.
The Garage nurtures many compelling projects, through ideation, collaboration, hacking, and beyond. It supports employees by sharing necessary resources to take their ideas forward through The Garage Growth Framework as well as provides expert coaching to execute projects efficiently. The Garage strives to engage our ecosystem to design disruptive ideas and deliver solutions that add value to business imperatives.
Hackathon
The world’s largest private Hackathon is organized annually by The Garage to drive the culture of innovation at Microsoft. It is one of the key offerings of The Garage. The Microsoft Global Hackathon is one of the company’s favorite events, and it greatly resonates with our mission of empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. The Hackathon is for every employee at the company, irrespective of role, org, or location. Every year the Hackathon has significant participation from the employees, sharing innovative energy around the world. The hack venues at various locations are dressed up with the annual Hackathon theme, inviting brilliant minds to hack their ideas into path-breaking solutions. It is a unique opportunity to collaborate as One Microsoft, to share, learn and grow.
The Garage Offerings
The Garage hosts various in-person, virtual, and hybrid talks/workshops such as ideation and making workshops, and fun activities to foster a community of hackers, makers, and creators. The Garage offers a great platform for employees to collaborate outside their workgroup and exercise their creative muscle.
