Microsoft Excel with a Microsoft 365 subscription is the latest version of Excel. Previous versions include Excel 2016, Excel 2013, Excel 2010, Excel 2007, and Excel 2003.

  • App availability varies by device/language. Features vary by platform.
  • [1] Copilot in Excel requires AutoSave to be enabled, meaning the file must be saved to OneDrive; it doesn't function with unsaved files.
  • [2] Some Excel charts and graphics require a Microsoft 365 subscription.
  • [3] You must have a Microsoft 365 subscription to share and coauthor in Excel.
  • [4] Copilot features in Outlook apply to accounts with @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com email addresses and are available in Outlook.com, Outlook built into Windows, Outlook on Mac, and iOS and Android apps.
