Microsoft Research Asia
Microsoft Research Asia (MSR Asia), established in 1998, is Microsoft’s research arm in the Asia-Pacific region, with research labs and personnel located in Beijing, Shanghai, Vancouver and Tokyo. The lab conducts basic and applied research in areas central to Microsoft’s long-term strategy and computing vision, including computing fundamentals, intelligent interactions, multi-modal perception and communication, AI and society, and AI for industry and science. Over the years, the lab has constantly birthed innovative technologies, creating significant scientific and social impact within Microsoft and around the world.
