    You can use this guide to help walk you through the major stages in the implementation process. In addition to the Implementation Guide, the following components are included:
    • Business Portal Implementation Checklist (ImplementationChecklist.doc): This template can be tailored to your specific implementation project. It lists the steps involved in implementing and deploying Business Portal. You can use this template to identify who is responsible to make sure the tasks are completed, and also to identify any risks and dependencies.
    • Content Inventory template (ContentInventory.xls): This spreadsheet provides an example of a content inventory. This includes a list of 1) where documents are located, 2) what format documents were created in, 3) who is responsible for maintaining the documents, and 4) where the information will be stored within the portal.
    • Users and Roles template (UsersAndRoles.xls): This spreadsheet helps you set up users and assign them to SharePoint groups, MBF roles, and web service roles. Complete the template before you add users to Business Portal.
