In a cloud hybrid search solution, the cloud Search service application crawls your on-premises content and pushes the metadata to the Office 365 search index. We recommend that you test the cloud hybrid search solution with a small content source first. After the test, you may want to delete the metadata for all the on-premises test items from the search index in Office 365. If the deletion fails, there might be on-premises orphan items left in the search index in Office 365. To remove ALL on-premises items from the Office 365 index, run the Windows PowerShell script Delete-CloudHybridSearchContent.ps1.
  • Supported Operating Systems

    Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2

The file is a zipped folder that contains a Windows PowerShell (ps1) file.
