    Registration of Windows domain joined computers with Azure AD is required to enable device-based conditional access and additional user experiences in Windows 10 Anniversary Update and later. To register domain joined computers running Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 a Windows Installer package (.msi) is available for you. Version 2.5 has added support for auto-recovery when the client state is out of sync with Azure AD, better troubleshooting with autoworkplace.exe /i, querying device registration status without needing the UI using autoworkpalce.exe /status, and an option to use the client side SCP setting to support single forest multi Azure AD tenant configuration. Version 2.1 was published on 6/13/2017 and added support for Azure Active Directory Seamless Single Sign On (https://aka.ms/hybrid/sso). Version 2.0 published on 3/14/2017 includes the following enhancements on top of previous version: - Added translations for the following languages: de-de, es-es, it-it, fr-fr, ja-jp, zh-cn, zh-tw. - Added device.login.microsoftonline.com to IE “Local intranet” sites. - Updated EULA for all languages. - Added logic to remove device state on the service side on a best effort upon deregistration. Any network errors are ignored and the local state is cleaned. - Added triggers for registration after logon, immediately, and retries at 1 minute and at 5 minutes if failed to register the device. Version 1.0 published on 10/18/2016 has the following features: - Trigger device registration on the following events: o Completion of installation of task in Task Scheduler o Windows sign-in or unlock by user - Device registration use of Service Connection Point object to discover Azure AD tenant information.
