The Microsoft Drivers for PHP for SQL Server are PHP extensions that allow for the reading and writing of SQL Server data from within PHP scripts. The SQLSRV extension provides a procedural interface while the PDO_SQLSRV extension implements PDO for accessing data in all editions of SQL Server 2008 R2 and later.Supported Operating Systems

- Operating Systems supported in this update:
- Mac OS Sierra
- Mac OS El Capitan
- Debian 8

- An Internet Information Services (IIS) Web server is required
- Version 4.3 requires Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 or Microsoft ODBC Driver 13. Version 4.0 for Linux requires Microsoft ODBC Driver 13. Some of the new features such as AzureAD, ConnectionPooling, IdleConnectionResiliency, TNIR require Microsoft ODBC Driver 13.1
Requires PHP 7.0 or 7.1. For information about how to download and install the latest stable binaries, visit http://windows.php.net for more detail.

- Perform the following steps to download and install the Microsoft Drivers for PHP for SQL Server:
1. Download SQLSRV43.EXE to a temporary directory
2. Run SQLSRV43.EXE
3. When prompted, enter the path to the PHP extensions directory
4. After extracting the files, read the Installation section of the SQLSRV_Readme.htm file for next steps
