See and experience technology that’s transforming healthcare

How time flies! It’s that time of year again—when our industry comes together to share and learn about technology that can drive transformation and new opportunities in healthcare. My Microsoft Health colleagues and I will be joining health professionals from around the world in Chicago, Illinois, April 12–16 for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Annual Conference & Exhibition (HIMSS15).

Every year, changes in healthcare and in technology necessitate a look at how you can improve your health organization’s care delivery and operational efficiency. Cloud computing is now front and center. As business requirements change and grow, more health organizations are looking to take advantage of the scalability and flexibility of the cloud to keep up. At HIMSS15, we’ll share how you can benefit from the new opportunities the cloud offers. We’ll show how healthcare organizations that we’ve been working with have seen improvements in care delivery and productivity via the adoption of cloud computing and mobile technologies.

We hope to meet with you at HIMSS15. Here’s a preview of what you’ll get to see, experience, and learn:

See innovative technology solutions from Microsoft and our partners at Microsoft booth #1202
We’re excited to showcase a number of innovative solutions from Microsoft and our partner ecosystem. We’ll be demonstrating how organizations are using technology to address today’s healthcare challenges, including:

  • Equipping clinicians with solutions that help them be more efficient—so that your health professionals experience technology as an enabler rather than something that takes additional time.
  • Finding ways to make better decisions faster based on available data, and empowering health professionals with easy-to-use, self-service analytics to gain powerful insights.
  • Connecting more effectively with consumers and patients at home.
  • Developing a strategy for cloud adoption, and migrating sensitive healthcare data and applications to the cloud, all while ensuring that your data is being stored in a secure and compliant manner.

Get hands-on experience with technology that can change the way your organization works
While you’re at HIMSS, please join us for a Microsoft Experience Center (MEC) session, a hands-on introduction to the Microsoft productivity platform. During these sessions, you’ll be immersed in a user experience that takes you through healthcare work scenarios, including communicating in real time with virtual care teams; using devices in a clinical environment to provide clinicians with easy access to patient data; and using analytics to make faster, better-informed decisions about patient care.

Participating in a MEC session is the best way to learn about business productivity tools and technologies. Sessions will be held in the Microsoft booth #1202 and led by a trained facilitator. The sessions are designed to be interactive, experiential, and fun.
