Microsoft signs CJIS agreement with State of Washington

We are excited to announce the state of Washington has been added to our list of states which Microsoft has attested our government cloud solutions meet the applicable security controls in the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security policy. Microsoft signs the CJIS Security Addendum attesting our operational policies and procedures for our Government Cloud services meet these standards, thus providing Washington Law Enforcement Agencies the ability to be certified CJIS compliant.

Washington is the 17th state to provide city, county, and state agencies with the opportunity to leverage Microsoft’s Government Cloud solutions in Azure, Office 365, and CRM Online Government, ultimately allowing law enforcement and government officials to provide compliant and reliable services while abiding by CJIS requirements.

The 17 states on this list include California, Arizona, Texas, Minnesota, New York, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Arkansas, Illinois and most recently, Washington. With access to Microsoft Government Cloud Solutions, all of these states are ensured information obtained through technologies such as body cameras, police video, and records management, will be managed according to the requirements of the CJIS Security Policy.
