  • The Microsoft commercial marketplace connects customers to a comprehensive catalog of vetted partner solutions. With the marketplace, customers can easily discover, buy, deploy and manage cloud and AI solutions and professional services from Microsoft partners, all through one trusted source. For software companies, the marketplace offers access to millions of Microsoft customers, helping you scale and sell direct online, through the partner ecosystem, or by co-selling with Microsoft.
  • Selling through the marketplace gives you access to a global audience of Microsoft customers actively seeking cloud solutions. This creates new opportunities for you to scale your business and co-sell with Microsoft. The marketplace simplifies your sales process and unlocks growth potential by allowing you to sell where customers prefer to buy. With ISV Success, we support you at every stage—from onboarding to publishing and growth—to ensure your success.
  • There is no cost to publish offers in the marketplace. However, we do collect a 3% transaction fee when customers purchase your offer through the marketplace.
    Plus, we now offer a 50% reduced agency fee for all renewals sold as private offers through the marketplace. This helps you maximize profitability while reinforcing valued relationships with your customers.
  • The marketplace supports various offer types to meet customers’ business needs, including Software as a Service (SaaS) apps, virtual machine images, containers, managed applications, solution templates, services, and more.
  • To create offers in the marketplace, your organization must first become a Microsoft partner by agreeing to the Microsoft Partner Agreement and accepting the Microsoft Publisher Agreement. To sign up to be a commercial marketplace publisher, visit Partner Center.
    After you sign up and accept the Microsoft Publisher Agreement, you'll have access to the marketplace page in Partner Center. This is where you’ll create and manage offers and view analytics reports.
  • Co-selling with Microsoft means collaborating with Microsoft partners and sellers on joint sales opportunities. When you achieve Azure IP co-sell status, you gain access to 500,000 Microsoft partners and a global sales force, allowing you to expand your reach into new markets. You can also create private offers for Cloud Solution Providers, which empowers resellers to sell your solutions and creates new sales opportunities. To qualify, your offer must meet specific criteria.
  • Multiparty private offers (MPOs) enable you to scale and drive repeatable revenue with Microsoft channel partners through the marketplace. With MPOs, you can quickly create new offers, customize pricing and terms and close bigger deals faster. To create a MPO, make sure you have Partner Center access. Once you’re in Partner Center, navigate to “Private Offers,” select “Create New Offer,” customize the details, and invite your channel partner with an enrollment link. The partner must accept and complete the enrollment process.
  • Microsoft offers robust support for partners through ISV Success and Marketplace Rewards. ISV Success offers technical guidance to help ISVs quickly list their solutions, while Marketplace Rewards provides marketing support to boost visibility and co-selling opportunities to accelerate sales.
  • No, you don’t need to enroll in ISV Success to publish an offer on the marketplace. However, ISV Success can help you build, migrate, or replicate apps for publication on the marketplace.
