FAQs

  • Q. Why is the MOC On-Demand course offering being retired?

    A. Last September at Ignite, we announced an evolved approach to the Microsoft professional certification and training. This approach included the launch of our digital skilling platform, Microsoft Learn, and new role-based certifications. Our approach shifted from technology-centric to job role–centric, focused on developing the skills you need to advance in an accelerated—and increasingly competitive—cloud-based world.

We’ve received great feedback that helped make our certifications and training as relevant as possible. We continue to engage with customers and partners to understand the market needs. Part of this approach is also to simplify the training journey and to consolidate our training offerings and learning platforms.

  • Q. What is MOC On-Demand?

    A. Microsoft Official Courses On-Demand (MOC On-Demand) is a self-paced online offering sold through the Learning Partner channel. It blends video, text, hands-on labs, and knowledge checks to help build Microsoft technology skills. Students can consume individually, at their own pace, or as part of a blended learning experience with the equivalent MOC instructor-led training (ILT) course in a classroom. MOC On-Demand offerings of 90-day and 180-day durations have been available for Learning Partners to purchase through Courseware Marketplace. After the course is activated, the learner has either 90 days or 180 days to complete it, depending on which duration they have purchased.

There is no change to any courses purchased prior to these dates.
