Dell unveils new devices designed for the mobile professional

At Dell Technologies World 2019, Dell announced the launch of the latest additions to its portfolio. Here are a few highlights of devices geared for business users.

Latitude series

Sleeker, more compact, and easier to carry whenever and wherever, the 10th generation of Latitude commercial PCs have been completely reimagined to address the needs of the evolving workforce. The new portfolio of Dell mobile business PCs is designed with IT departments in mind and aims to get business users productive faster and keep them productive longer, no matter when, where, or how they work. The Latitude series includes next-gen biometric sign-in and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) security options, as well as Express technology options to boost employee productivity.

Devices in the Latitude line—which run on Windows 10 Pro—include:

  • Latitude 7000 series—In 13- and 14-inch form factors, the Latitude 7000 series are the world’s smallest premium business-class notebooks available. Encased in durable new machined aluminum or carbon fiber materials, the laptops feature a variable-torque, drop-hinge design that enables easy, one-finger opening of the anti-glare, narrow-border display.
  • Latitude 5000 series—The world’s smallest mainstream business-class notebooks also offer the broadest range of business features and configurability. The Latitude 5000 series form factors (13-, 14-, and 15-inch) in new carbon fiber reinforced chassis and an industry-leading run time of up to 22 hours. In addition, the new Latitude 5300 2-in-1 is the world’s smallest mainstream business-class tablet. Starting at just 3.15 pounds, it can be configured with up to 32 GB of memory and up to 1 TB of storage.
  • Latitude 3000 series—The new Latitude 3000 series sets the standard for entry-level business notebooks with enterprise-class capabilities for essential productivity, while remaining accessible to any company. The series features a stunning, new 13-inch model, which is the world’s smallest and lightest 13-inch essential notebook.

Dell Precision 3540 and 3541

Designed for students and professionals with heavy Microsoft Excel workbook, 2D CAD, or simple 3D CAD design workloads, the Dell Precision 3540 mobile workstation is an affordable solution for those looking for workstation-class performance in a small footprint. It comes with the essentials—including the latest 4-core Intel® Core™ processors, up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, AMD Radeon® Pro graphics with 2 GB of dedicated memory, 2 TB of storage, and Windows 10 Pro.

The new Dell Precision 3541 mobile workstation will offer additional power with 9th generation 8-core Intel® Core™ and 6-core Intel® Xeon® processor options. It’ll be available with next generation NVIDIA Quadro® professional graphics with 4 GB of dedicated memory, and Windows 10 Pro. Boasting extreme battery life—quite possibly the longest battery life in its class—the system supports on-the-go productivity.

Vostro series

The new Vostro 13 5000 and Vostro 15 7000 are designed with the needs of small businesses in mind. Vostro laptops come with integrated security features.

The Vostro 13 5000 is the thinnest and lightest Vostro ever, designed for on-the-go business professionals. The Vostro 15 7000 is Dell Technologies’ newest 15-inch laptop—catering to professionals who need a high-performance computer that looks stylish while keeping cost down.

Running on Windows 10 Pro, the Vostro 13 5000 and Vostro 15 7000 offer powerful processors to support editing and running applications.
