- The newer Outlook for Windows offers the most popular features and configurations from the classic desktop version of Outlook for Windows. It also offers the newest Copilot innovations, a variety of new tools, including easy access to Microsoft 365 apps, pinning and snoozing email for better inbox management, and intelligent features that allow users with a work or school account to use Outlook with Microsoft Loop and Microsoft Teams.
- You may toggle back from Outlook for Windows to your classic experience.
- As is the case for all Outlook experiences today, paid customers won’t receive ads when signed into Outlook. These include customers using Outlook with a Microsoft 365 account provided by their company, school, or organization, or those who have a Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, or Family subscription.
Outlook for Windows also provides a free, ad-supported version for customers who don’t have a paid subscription. If you use a free email service such as Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Gmail without a Microsoft 365 subscription, you’ll see ads in Outlook for Windows.
If you prefer not to see ads, you may purchase a Microsoft 365 subscription to remove any advertising served by Microsoft. - If you have a free account, you’ll see ads in your inbox, clearly marked with an ad label to distinguish them from other emails. These ads will look identical to what users see today in Outlook for the web, iOS, and Android. The ads will appear at the top of your inbox and can be deleted.
