ALIEN 3 takes place on Fiorina 161, a former maximum-security correctional facility inhabited by a community of ex-prisoners.  Onto this prison world crashes Warrant Officer Ellen Ripley (played by three-time Academy Award® nominee Sigourney Weaver).  Ripley soon finds that she has brought along one of the deadly extraterrestrials that she battled before.  Once the alien is discovered, the inhabitants of Fiorina 161, who have no advanced technology or modern weapons, fight back with Ripley's help.
