Christmas 1944, the Germans make one final push against the attacking allied armies in the West. After a brief encounter with a German unit. Lt. Robert Cappa makes a report to his commanding officer Major AJ McCulley and Captain Robert Daniels. Cappa reports of strange enemy movement and has a worried sense of what the Germans are up to. With this in mind Major McCulley orders Lt. Cappa and his platoon of Second Infantry Division soldiers too a a vital road junction in the Ardennes forest outside of the town of Amaranth Belgium. While settling into their new positions, Cappa makes contact with the soldiers on his left and right flank. Meeting with Sgt. Mcquire he learns that the troopers are very green and have not yet seen combat. Upon his return, Cappa's second in command Sgt. Rock informs him the men are thinly spaced and would have trouble "holding the line" in case of a German attack. After losing contact with his command, Cappa and his men experience an intense artillery barrage followed by a large scale German assault. Cappa and his men must find their faith and strength to stand against their enemy in the opening stages of the the epic fight known as "The Battle of The Bulge."
