Rick Schroder stars as 15-year-old Rick Stratton, the son Edward Stratton III (Joel Higgins) never knew he had, who sought his way into Edward's world 11 years late. Born with a "silver spoon" in his mouth, Edward has more money than he has ways to spend it. Although responsible for his age, Rick faces normal teenage growing pains that are soothed by both Edward and level-headed Kate (Erin Gray), Edward's new wife and former assistant. Dexter Stuffins' (Franklyn Seales) business acumen and sense of humor keep the Stratton empire running. Dexter has become guardian of nephew Alfonso (Alfonso Ribeiro), and he now shares with Edward the joys and difficulties of raising a teenager.
