Warner Cartoon Classics: Elmer Fudd
$6.99

Description

Forever associated as the shotgun-wielding, consonant dropping nemesis of Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd shows a whole new side in these ten classic cartoon shorts produced between 1940 and 1962. Elmer first emerges as a short-tempered city-dweller looking for a little peace and quiet - that is, if only he could extinguish that candle, silence that rooster, or deal with that alley cat (featuring an early Sylvester). Soon, however, the testy Mr. Fudd finds himself going head to head with an army of ants on a Fourth of July Picnic, a pair of Mexican crows, and even his own hunting dog, Rover, in a contest of wills. Not to be missed in this collection is the 1955 short “Heir-Conditioned,” in which Sylvester the Cat is heir to his mistress’s fortune – that is, if his financial advisor, E. Fudd doesn’t mess things up. And 1961’s “What’s My Lion?” offers up the final speaking role for loveable “wascal” in a Looney Tunes short.
