Gary (Jay Mohr) thought he would be seeing a whole lot less of his ex-wife Allison (Paula Marshall) — at least that's how the judge sold him on the whole divorce thing. Now that it's final, though, she seems to be around more than ever. Of course, they share custody of their two kids — Tom, their socially-awkward son and Louise, their politically-correct daughter. Between arguing over their kids, and meddling in each other's lives, Gary and Allison support each other as they dip their toes back into the dating pool after a fifteen-year dry spell called marriage. The charming Gary has finally connected with Vanessa (Jaime King), a single mother.
