In a new season based on the classic anime series, Astro Boy is brought back to life at the retro-futuristic Metro City’s Ministry of Science by the kindly Dr. O’Shay. Years earlier, Dr. Tenma, O’Shay’s predecessor and a brilliant scientist in his own right, created Astro in the image of his late son, only to turn against him in his obsessive quest for absolute authority. Now living under O’Shay’s thoughtful tutelage, Astro is as resourceful as he is strong. Able to fly at supersonic speeds, he has a keen sense of justice tempered only by his more child-like tendencies. Whether battling the evil Dr. Tenma and his powerful android army, looking out for Zoran, the mischievous little sister that O’Shay created for him, or rehabilitating some wayward machines, Astro never wavers from his mission to achieve fairness and justice for people and robots alike.
