The 2009 Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Reality Series and five-time PRISM Award-winning series Intervention is back for another powerful season, profiling people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis, and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. Each episode of this gripping series ends with a surprise intervention staged by family and friends of the addict, and conducted by one of four specialists: Jeff VanVonderen, Candy Finnigan or, new to the show this season, Rod Espudo or John Southworth. An addiction specialist, Espudo has carried out 629 interventions in his 21 years of practice, with clients ranging in age from 12 to 86 years old. Southworth has over 40 years of both personal and professional experiences in the field of substance abuse and mental health. He is currently a preferred interventionist for numerous prestigious treatment centers throughout the country. Each interventionist will offer the addicts a second chance. But will they take it?
