Description
This critically acclaimed series first engages viewers by presenting them a crime that's just been committed and then walks them through all the proper protocols that follow such incidents. From the time detectives are called in (this season features Detectives Mike Logan and Max Greevey, played by Chris Noth and George Dzundza) to the suspect's trial hearing, each element of the criminal justice system is analyzed and examined. Sometimes cases are clear cut, easy to break and easy to prosecute. But most are the type in which the investigation is difficult, the prosecution is complicated, and the decisions involved in how to proceed legally and what to plea bargain “in the name of justice” are even tougher.
