The search for the Loch Ness Monster has captivated the world for decades, but now a startling realization about "Nessie" might shatter this age-old myth. Could the Loch Ness Monster be dead, and do its remains lie hidden at the bottom of the lake? Robert Rines, a world renowned inventor, believes he may have seen the remains of this mythical beast and is on a mission to find evidence to prove it. Rines, who believes he saw the creature surface in the lake in 1972, caught sonar images of the monster's remains. He believes Nessie's death may explain the decrease of sightings in recent years. Our search team looks for evidence and deploys the latest technology including remote operating vehicles (ROVs) and sonar and underwater cameras as it goes on the ultimate search for Nessie's remains.
Cattle Killers

Something mysterious and violent is killing cattle of the North American plains, but what is behind these gruesome attacks: satanic cults, an unknown predator, or something previously unknown to man? For forty years, there have been thousands of cases of cattle found mutilated under abnormal circumstances; these livestock are found dead, often with their blood drained and organs or body parts removed from their bodies. Abnormally high radiation levels have been detected in the soil near the dead animals when they are found, and the deaths often do not match the pattern of known scavengers. With no apparent footprints or tracks leading to or from the carcasses and strange circles near the site, the mystery only deepens. A MonsterQuest team will gather samples and head to a laboratory to scientifically analyze the most compelling evidence.

The real events were a series of violent nocturnal attacks that left behind not only fear and panic, but also remarkable tracks. But the evidence is not just confined to history. Scientific clues continue to this day, and point to a malevolent monster that stalks the Deep South, with physical encounters by trained trackers and discoveries of tracks and scat. In the mid 1930s three teenagers pulled an eight-foot alligator from a storm drain. Reports persisted until a skeptical Superintendent of Sewers, Teddy May, was forced to investigate for himself. What May found shocked even him - swarms of alligators alive beneath the busy main street of America's biggest city. Crews were sent in to kill the deadly reptiles, but the stories of the gators in the sewers lived on. Experts, however, are divided over whether it is scientifically possible for alligators to continue to exist in the sewers, so a MonsterQuest team sets out to search for modern evidence of these monsters and prove that they could not only survive but also thrive. Herpetologists and underground explorers join forces and use the latest in remote-operated camera technology to delve into the depths of New York's sewers.

The most compelling evidence for the creature known as Bigfoot may be the increasing close encounters that are frightening witnesses in rural America. Historic stories have told of violent interactions that range from objects being thrown to frightening abductions by hairy beasts. As extraordinary as these stories sound, people continue to recount physical interactions with creatures that they cannot explain. Witnesses from Minnesota and Washington State have all had frightening run-ins with the monsters while driving; another witness in rural Indiana talks with terror of the night that he was grabbed by something very powerful out in a forest. Beneath the cold, isolated waters of north western Canada a fifty foot swimming monster is said to lurk. The stories from North West Canada's Lake Okanagan date back to the earliest First Nation peoples, who lived in fear of this terrifying creature of the lake that became known as `Ogopogo'. According to accounts of this ominous creature, it has a large snake like body, large eyes and can move at high speeds. Sightings of this lake creature are so common that it has been seen more times than Scotland's Loch Ness Monster, making Ogopogo the world's most documented lake creature. With new, recent photographic evidence and an array of high technology, MonsterQuest will launch one of the first major expeditions to this lake. A helicopter outfitted with a thermal camera will scan the lake for signs of the creature while a dive team stands ready to jump into the hazardous waters, ready to capture the necessary evidence.

The Goliath Grouper is a monster fish that inhabits the tropical shallow waters of Florida and the Caribbean. In 1895, the New York Times reported on a monster grouper that measured in at over fifteen-hundred pounds. This super-sized fish is making a comeback, growing to immense proportions with the aggression to match. A recent victim was attacked while spear fishing and describes having the Goliath grouper wrap its vicious jaws around his head. Meanwhile, in Minnesota a resurgence of a monster no less aggressive is on the rise: the Muskie. Also known as the muskellunge, this monster fish has frightening teeth that draw blood from a growing list of victims. Now, MonsterQuest launches expeditions beneath the waters of Florida and sends ROVs under the ice of Minnesota to find out how large and how aggressive these creatures can get.

The Tasmanian Tiger, which was known for its massive jaws and sharp incisors, stalked livestock and terrified the human inhabitants of the island, before a bounty brought about the Tiger's extinction almost eighty years ago. But if the eyewitness stories and scientific breakthroughs are correct, this creature may be on the verge of making a comeback. Across Tasmania there have been over 350 sightings of this monster, including reports from experienced biologists and outdoorsmen. Meanwhile, in an Australian laboratory, one scientist is using a preserved strand of DNA in an attempt to resurrect the tiger. If there is one place on earth that could be home to a prehistoric flying monster, it is Papua New Guinea. These islands to the north of Australia are the closest thing to a real `lost world' and eyewitnesses here claim that a terrifying monster is circling above them. Natives call this creature the `Demon Flyer', but its twenty-foot wingspan, gray leathery skin and crested head appear to be only one thing - a living pterosaurs. Ancient sea charts made by early explorers in the sixteenth century show that they saw pterosaur-like animals and warned mariners of these legendary monsters. Paleontologists, however, are doubtful and suggest that a more likely explanation is a yet to be discovered species of giant bat. Whichever theory is correct there is something here that has reportedly killed locals and may have been caught on tape by a western witness. Scientific analysis will attempt to unravel this mystery as a MonsterQuest expedition braves the dense rainforests with an international team of experts. It has been dubbed the monkey-man and headlines across the world have told of the vicious nocturnal attacks that occurred in India's capital, New Delhi. After three people died and dozens were hospitalized fleeing the creature, 3,000 police officers were tasked with capturing the animal, but came up empty handed. Experts were divided over whether this was a case of mass panic or an unknown primate. Even today, witnesses in other parts of the country continue to report terrifying encounters with a similar beast. Across the world, people are reporting increasingly frequent encounters with frighteningly large crocodiles. Known as `Super Crocs', these massive beasts were apex predators that grew to lengths of up to 40 feet and could weigh as much as eight tons. Today, record-size crocs max out at just over 20 feet, but witnesses are saying crocodiles are getting much bigger. The Last Dinosaur
