Season Four picks up six months later, when Duke suddenly appears out of thin air in Boston, and is rescued by Jennifer Mason, a woman with a mysterious ability and connection to Haven. Duke and Jennifer make their way to Haven, only to discover that the town is under siege—because the barn was destroyed, The Troubles never left. In fact, they’re worse than ever. Now The Guard, a shadowy organization of troubled people headed by Vince, patrols the streets trying to keep the Troubles under control. For help in finding Audrey, wherever she is, Duke hunts down Nathan, who’s been banished from Haven for his role in preventing Audrey from once again temporarily ending The Troubles. Living with the guilt of his failures, Nathan resolves to do whatever it takes to find Audrey and then convince her to kill him—the person she loves the most—in order to end The Troubles forever.
