As this honest, heartfelt comedy continues in its sixth season, the Seaver family copes with life, death … and its two elder children moving away from home. When Jason (Alan Thicke) gives his son Mike (Kirk Cameron) an ultimatum, Mike moves out and heads for New York. His sister, Carol (Tracey Gold), soon joins him, where she becomes more taken with the nightlife than with her classes at Columbia University. Meanwhile, Ben (Jeremy Miller) wonders why his family isn’t like all those perfect families seen on TV…. Ashley Johnson joins the cast this season as the youngest member of the family, daughter Chrissy. Guest stars this season include Kelly Rowan (Perception, The O.C.), Joely Fisher (’Til Death) and Gordon Jump (WKRP in Cincinnati) and features the three-part episode in which the Seavers go to Europe.
