In the eighth season of Everybody Loves Raymond, Debra attempts to join forces with Amy, the newest member of the family, against Marie in "Thank You Notes." Robert advises Ray to be more affectionate with Debra, Debra rebuffs his advances and scolds him for listening to Robert in the first place in "Misery Loves Company." The Barones head to Pennsylvania to meet Amy's family and things get very interesting when the two families divide for the annual Thanksgiving family pageant in "The Bird."
