Description
"White Cane" is an experimental application that allows people with no vision to see surfaces around them with sound. The concept is very simple, a Ray comes out from the user's eyes and eventually collides with a surface. This point of impact emits a sound, this sound gets louder or softer depending on your distance to it, this provides the user with a sense of distance. The sound it makes also depends on the surface it hits, a wall will make a sound that is different than a floor. All surfaces have their own particular sound. This provides the user with information about the shape of an object.
