The STCA Semantics and Knowledge Team at Microsoft STCA S+D Group advances research and innovation in areas such as information retrieval, natural language processing, and multimodal. Our mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to get information efficiently and effectively by driving the advance of cutting-edge AI techniques and its application on WebXT services.
The recent topics of our work covers:
- Natural language understanding and generation. Some ongoing works are TegTok (opens in new tab), PCL (opens in new tab), Multilingual Question Answering (opens in new tab), MGRC (opens in new tab), etc.
- Neural symbolic computing. We are developing next-generation architectures to bridge gap between neural and symbolic representations with . Some ongoing projects are EventBERT (opens in new tab), NRETM (opens in new tab), Procedural Text Understanding (opens in new tab), etc.
- Few-shot learning and data augmentation. Some ongoing works are PromDA (opens in new tab), etc.
In the past three years, our group has published dozens of research works at top conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, KDD, WWW, EMNLP, SIGIR, AAAI, IJCAI, and WSDM.
