Andrea joined Microsoft in 2021 as a member of the Special Projects group from Microsoft Research. She holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at University of Sao Paulo. Her areas of interest include Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Computer Graphics.
Andrea has been working with applied research for industry since she received her M.Sc. degree in 2011. Prior to joining Microsoft, she worked at projects involving Computer Vision research at various domains such as Seismic Interpretation, Digital Agriculture, Audio-visual speech recognition, and Accessibility.
At Microsoft Research, she is working at the Holoportation™ project and evaluating the use of low-cost sensors for a 3D Telemedicine application.
