About

I am working on robot teaching technologies that allow non-experts to have robots to perform household chores without programming. Please refer to Google Scholar (opens in new tab) for the list of my papers.

My past research includes virtual reality systems for alleviating phantom limb, and neural mechanisms of tinnitus and hearing loss. My work on human-computer interaction includes a device for augmenting perception (opens in new tab), which transforms visual images into sound, enabling us to “hear” the visual world. As just described, my research interest spans neuroscience of perception, human-computer interaction, and robotics-related technologies.

I received my B.S. degree in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2014 and my Ph.D. degree in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo in 2019
